The owner's grandfather built the original cottage on this site; faced with an overwhelming amount of work to renovate, they reluctantly decided to tear it down and replace it.

Our builders and design team worked closely with the owners to craft a building that would honour the site. Visually, the building has several nods to traditional Muskoka design, giving a sense of continuity to a vibrant family heritage.
