"Building our dream cottage in Muskoka was a huge undertaking made more difficult by the fact that one built by my grandfather had to be demolished in order to make it possible. For many irrational even sentimental reasons I was resisting the inevitable.

The project involved complete demolition, blasting and then building “from the ground up”. Throughout the process Josh was very organized, made sure the work was completed on schedule, and was done with precision. Josh has a talented and hard-working crew and along with the excellent sub-trades he chose – they all had a commitment to doing quality work. 

Josh is good at solving problems when they arise, and he went out of his way to make sure we got all the features we wanted. He is honest and patient (yes, I dragged my feet on a few decisions) but Josh managed to stay on schedule and work around it. 

Whenever my husband and I were on site the crew was courteous and cheerful. They kept the construction site clean and did a thorough cleanup at the end of each week so the site was spotless on the weekends when we would drive up from the city. Even though Josh has a young family he was willing to meet with us at our convenience, was easy to reach by phone, text or email and always returned messages promptly.

Josh is very personable (we laughed a lot) and easy to work with. He is committed to making sure his clients get what they want. We are very happy we chose From the Ground Up Construction for our dream cottage. We are thrilled with the finished product and we will enjoy the results of their hard work for years to come.
